Buried in Books
I do not enjoy Christian fiction, zombies or dystopians though I will give dystopians a try. I don’t mind clean romance. That’s fine. I’m not a big science fiction fan or high fantasy. I will read self published/indie published books.
I will let typos and grammar mistakes go to a point, but if it interrupts my train of thought, I won’t finish the book. If I don’t finish it, I don’t review it. I’m not trying to derail anyone’s career. I enjoy Middle Grade fiction and have a middle grader at home who I often share books with if it’s his taste. Otherwise I donate them to his school library.
I very much object to graphic sexual violence. I don’t believe it belongs in YA. Language doesn’t bother me, neither does sex. I assume it’s pertinent to the story. I do get a lot of requests so let me know if you are on a blog tour and I’ll let you know if I can read the book in time for your needs. Otherwise don’t be surprised if it takes me six months. I do buy my own books to read and like to sprinkle some of those in my reviews as well as participate in some read a longs and other things.
