Review Policy

Note: As of 02/04/2012, I will no longer accept PDF files for book reviews. The format that I keep getting is too much work to convert to mobi/epub format and it’s really annoying viewing these files in my tablet!

Note: As of 10/06/2012 I am currently backlogged with the Print Books Section. Estimated wait time for a review of a Print Book is 3-4 weeks.

Reading is my passion as I’m sure you can tell just by the mere fact that I actually have this blog. So it is more than okay for a publicist and/or author to contact me about review opportunities.

Reading is one of my favorite free time activities. The fiction genre is my favorite because I love how I have the ability to escape mentally to a new world. It is more than okay for a publicist and/or author to contact me about review opportunities.

I have a staff of three reviewers that help me get through my TBR pile so you won’t be waiting forever to get your review.

We take just about every genre. How about I tell you what I don’t accept and we can go from there.

Hampton Reviews do not accept:

• Textbooks
• Guides for exams
• How to make money books
• Get rich quick books

Sorry, we don’t take those. Other than that, we can accept everything from Erotica to Paranormal Romance. I will try to accept almost every genre, but if something doesn’t suit my tastes I will pass it on to one of my staff members.

All reviews are honest reviews by me or one of my staff members. If any of us feel that your book will be below a 3 star rating, I will inform you in advance before posting it. All reviews will be sent to the author before they are posted.

I post reviews 3-4 times a week. If I decide to accept your book for a review, I will add it first to my TBR pile (which updates daily) and once I am able to read it, your cover will move to the Currently Reading section on the sidebar of my site.

If I receive your book at least 2 weeks prior to the release date, I will do my best to post the review the day of the release. I do not sell ARC’s—I may give them away on my site, but if you’d prefer that I refrain from doing that I will without question. Reviews are posted at the following sites:

• Goodreads
• My Twitter Account
• My Facebook Fan Page

I also participate in blog tours, guest posts, and giveaways.

Here are the formats I accept

• Now that I have a Kindle Fire, I’m able to accept epub/mobi format books for reading. I am still accepting Print Books, but I am currently backlogged with them at the moment. If you send me a Print Book, please don’t expect a review until 3-4 weeks from now. I’m making the books I currently have a PRIORITY FIRST.
• .mobi
• .epub (but I don’t really like that format)

 Note: I have been getting many ebook requests. So far, I have over 90 ebooks that are TOP Priority at the moment. The estimated wait time for an ebook review is 3 weeks. I am very sorry for the delay.

The estimated wait time for a Paperback review is 3-4 weeks. This is because I’m currently backlogged. This will update in a few weeks.
